On Tuesday, its launch was announced on the company’s official blog.
Google Drive is a desktop-to-cloud and a mobile-to-cloud synchronize service, that means you can store your data on both desktop and mobile with the help of software developed for the respective platforms. Google Drive will help people to store their data easily on Google’s servers and access them anytime and anywhere. With the inclusion of Google Docs, you will now be able to edit your documents online and share it. You will also be able to share those files on Google plus directly from the Google Drive storage. It also supports 3o different file types like PDFs, photoshop files and many more. You can edit such files on Google Drive without installing any software on your computer.
Google Drive boasts of some powerful features like the Optical Character Recognition technology that will help Google Drive understand the text uploaded in the documents. It also brings along the Smart Tagging feature, that means you will be able to tag your stuff easily. It even consists features like the Image Recognition.
Google Drive is currently available for platforms like Windows, Mac and Android OS. But in the near future, we will be able to see its app Apple products like the Iphone and Ipad. Google Drive will offer 5GB free storage for registered users and if you want to have more storage space then you will have to use your pockets to get that. For now, Google Drive is not fully available to all the users, but you can register by visiting the Google Drive website so that you will receive a notification when it is available for you.
